Not sure where to put this....

Anyway, I have incoming friends. Cool. I accept them and they are on my list.
The question is do I have to request them as a friend also. Or am I already on their friends list?

I dont know how these things work and I dont want to be rude by not requesting to be their friend back. :)

I'm also a little confused. Is this like MySpace and Facebook? Not to sound rude either, but what do you 'do' with your friends? I'm not familiar with the feature either.

Once you "accept" the friend then it automatically goes on your friends/contact list.

Yes but now that you are on my list 1lila1, am I on yours? Do you see me as a friend on your list?

I haven't fooled with the friend feature much, but I would assume that if one party accepts a friend invitation, both show up as friends on each other's site.

I know, but I dont want to seem rude, you know :) Nothing worse than being accepted as a friend and then the person thinks you snubbed them! ;)

Kinda reminds me of the first few times I sent out an Amazon friends invite, what if they say no !!!

The only thing I've noticed with the friends is I see them on my user page if I click friends and if on the users online list there's a little + sign next to those people. Not like on Amazon friends where one can see their latest activity on one's profile page. I like that BTW, I can see what others are reading. Found a good book or two that way.

I was wondering what the + sign meant!!

We can also have little chats with one another if you go to your profile I think you can send a PM(Like always) or send a message which everyone on your group can see. That could be helpful for us if we want to discuss what we are reading amongst ourselves or something.

or for when we go off topic :p:D

At least one OT thread that was lost was probably for the best -- Pet Emanations :D

Oh, I'm glad somebody started this thread. I'm flattered to get friend invitations, but had no idea what the whole thing was about. Severe internet ignorance -- but then, I have yet to so much as start a myspace/facebook page. So now I'll go send some invitations too!

I don't want to sound too sweet to be true (even though it's a Southern thing sometimes), but we have such a unique forum community going on now that I feel like everyone here is already a friend. So if I don't send a out a bunch of requests, I'm just thinking you're all friends because you signed up!

Hear this, lurkers? Show yourselves and be my friend! :p
