There are plenty of places on the web to debate (or scream, as is what usually happens). I wouldn't miss it if the thread didn't come back; tho I agree about off topic threads; maybe a thread called meanderings?

MLE makes a good point about the debate forum being a good place to relocate posts that go off topic. I know I went off topic a few times, and it never bothered me to have my posts moved. This really helps keep the threads on topic, which I think is fairly important.
